I had a stressful month where I was really distracted, so the album ended up being exclusively composed using the Chordbot app (hence the name) all through the month and rush recorded on the last day on my Ipad using, initially, a portable audio interface with phantom power and eventually dwindling down to an Rode AI-Micro and a Lavalier mic. This is probably the worst sounding RPM Challenge record I have ever put together, but I am good with leaving room to grow. This record is for anyone who enjoys 50ish women recording half written songs of questionable quality and subject matter. I performed it at a show early in February, and a really cool guy named Ching happened to be in the audience. He approached me after the show saying how much he loved this song, and offered to help me produce it. I sent him some of my favourite 70s soul songs for reference, and he got it right away. He sent me some instrumentals he made and I was blown away! I wrote a vocal arrangement for the back-up vocals and recorded all the vocals with him in at his place in one day.
