| TB8S | Experimental | This album focused on using a large trove of field recordings and voice memos I've gathered over the last few months, feeding them into modulators and samplers, and creating some shorter, loop-based jams that are in a much different direction than some of my more recent work. Using samples of church sermons, feeding my chickens, vocals of my daughters, and more made creating the resulting instrumental grooves more personal and satisfying than my usual method of sourcing samples from old commercials and other oddities. Some of the various influences on this album's concept and sound include Severance Season 2, Daredevil Seasons 1-3, Shoegaze, Boards of Canada, Panda Bear, Surf Rock, Toro y Moi, Steve Reich, Stereolab, yoga, and meditation. | Album | Burns | Tennessee | USA | LINK |
